Another live blog post! Jackie and I went to this new pizza place in Cheung Chau (they have only been open for 2 weeks now!) and we met the couple who run the place. A really awesome surprise — they are from Argentina!

“Why are you serving in Hong Kong? You should go serve somewhere else!” I come across this question a lot! I thought of writing down the “why”!

A few testimonies from the last months of semi-lockdown in Hong Kong. Serving at garbage collection points, visiting the elderly, and meeting people on the minibus.

It was a sunny Thursday afternoon, right after lunch, a group of friends and I walked around Mongkok. We were spontaneously walking down Nathan Road all the way to Tsim Sha Tsui. We weren’t sure of where we would end up with but had a lot of fun along the way as we encountered different areas and people on the streets.

In many ways, my design eye in Hong Kong has continued developing as I observe things around the city – advertisement from big agencies here is very clean and direct, yet other kinds of advertisement can be quite overwhelming with a lot of big typefaces and crazy layouts and color choices.

I explored West Kowloon with a friend this weekend. We went all the way to a coffee shop called “Rest. Coffee. Gin”.

Understanding the history of Hong Kong and China has really opened my eyes new things from the culture I was raised in at home.

It’s been ONE whole year since I moved to Hong Kong and God has been teaching me incredible things in my time here. This special post is a bit longer than what I usually write! Thank you for taking time to read this blog post where I will share some testimonies, challenges, praise reports and prayer requests.

These 5 things are based on what I’ve learned personally but I wanted to share it, if it’s helpful to those who are planning to do short-term or long-term missions, or just traveling to new places in general.
